Hygiene

At Vildmarksbyn Eden, there is running water only in the river. This means you’ll need to fetch water from there or take a dip directly in the river. We have a designated area where you can pour water over yourselves and wash a bit privately. This is a “wilderness shower”, meaning you carry and heat the shower water over the fire or in the sauna.

We have an ECO toilet, meaning an outdoor toilet with toilet paper, water (in a jug), and soap.

At a slightly greater distance (approximately 10-20 kilometers), there are several lakes where you can enjoy a refreshing swim. Lake Stor-Jangen has a nice bathing spot, and in Lysvik, there are several opportunities to swim in Lake Fryken.
