The best combination for those who want adventure but do not want to compromise when it comes to good food and good living. You still do the experiences on your own, but we take care of the rest.
This adventure in Sweden's most southerly wilderness offers unique memories and nature experiences. Sometimes adventurous, but not dangerous. You will build your own timber raft out of logs and ropes and go down the river. You will take an active part in cooking, with dishes inspired by local specialties. You spend the first and last night in a cabin and the second night in a tent. Means of transport is the timber raft you have built yourself, drifting on the river Klarälven at a speed of about 2 km per hour. Actually, Karin Boye, a Swedish poet and novelist, has already said everything in her poem:
On the move
“The day of plenty, never is the greatest. The best day is a day of craving thirst.
Yes, there is a meaning in our journey -- But ‘tis the pathway, which is worth our while.
The thing to aim for is a nightlong rest, Where the fire’s lit and bread is shared in haste.
In places, where you go to sleep but once, Your sleep is safe, your dream is full of song.
Move on, move on! The new day dawns ahead. Endless is our marvellous adventure.”
