Welcome to Klarälvens Camping!
Our campsite is beautifully located along the Klarälven River, one of Sweden’s longest rivers. For generations people have lived, worked and spent their holidays along the river. At the campsite, we offer cabins in three different categories as well as pitches for caravans, motorhomes and tents – with or without electricity. Here you can go fishing, paddle a canoe, build and float a timber raft, join a beaver safari and enjoy much more.
Swim in the clear waters of the Klarälven River.

For us, being a member of Svensk Camping is a natural choice. Svensk Camping is the trade association for Sweden’s campsites and represents quality, safety, and shared standards. As a member, we are part of a large network of reputable campsites throughout Sweden. We accept Camping Key Europe, an international camping and benefits card. It provides discounts, special offers, and simplifies check-in at affiliated campsites across Europe.
We offer
Klarälvens Camping is located just north of the village Stöllet where the roads E45 and 62 meet, in Torsby Municipality, Värmland. The campsite is ideally close to a wide range of activities, beautiful nature, and the rich culture of northern Värmland. The campsite is open all year round for accommodation in cabins, but there is limited staffing during the autumn, winter, and spring. For motorhomes, caravans and tents, the campsite is open during the spring, summer, and autumn, with limited staffing during spring and autumn.
Unless otherwise agreed, check-in time for the cabins starts at 15:00 and check-out time is at 11:00.
Please note! We don’t accept cash. Payment is by credit card. You are welcome to book and pay in advance.

Our services during the summer season
Reception is open between 14:00 and 20:00 from 22 June – 16 August 2026.
- Reception is open between 14:00 and 20:00.
- If you arrive, in this period, before the reception has opened, you may drive into the area and find a spot. Please return to the reception and register your arrival during opening hours.
- We don’t accept cash. Please pay by credit card.
- The service building offers a common kitchen, toilets and showers that are wheelchair accessible, a laundry room (please book time at the reception), as well as an assembly hall where you can eat or watch TV. The showers require SEK 5-coins for warm water, tokens for the showers can be purchased at the reception during open hours.
- We sell ice cream, sweets, soft drinks and some other products at reception.
- For help during hours when reception is closed, all guests receive a telephone number to our hotline at check-in.
- We kindly request all guests to separate their garbage and deposit it at our recycling station. Please clean food packing and sort all waste as follows: plastics, metal, glass, paper, drink cans and plastic bottles with the Swedish-deposit PANT symbol, please sort foreign beverage containers with deposit into either plastic or metal. All remaining garbage can be deposited in the ‘unsorted’ container.
- There is a playground with an obstacle course, swing, jumping pillow and a trampoline.
- Close to the riverbank there are several fireplaces for barbecuing.
- Canoes and kayaks can be rented on a daily basis.
- The wood-fired sauna can be rented by the hour.
- Groceries can be purchased 2 km south of Klarälvens Camping in Stöllet. The grocery store is open Monday to Friday 09.00-18.00, Saturdays 10.00-13.00. Sundays closed. There is also a grocery store in Ambjörby, about 12 km north of Klarälvens Camping. This is open Monday to Friday 09.00-20.00, Saturdays 09.00-18.00, Sundays 10.00-18.00.
- Petrol station with basic groceries and fast food is 300 meters from the campsite. It is open daily 09.00-21.00.
- There is always the possibility for a bath in the beautiful river Klarälven, known for its clear water and the sandy bottom. Every year several thousand tons of sand are moved by the river down to Lake Vänern. Although the water is rather shallow at the campsite, please be careful when you are bathing in flowing waters.
- It is possible to go fishing in the river Klarälven or in Oxbow Lake on the opposite side of Klarälvens Camping.

Our services during the fall, winter and spring.
- During the fall, winter and spring, all bookings must be paid for in advance to your stay. When the payment is received, we send you a code to a key box where you will collect the key.

Some rules of order for everybody’s comfort
- Please respect the quiet hours from 22:00 to 06.00.
- The minimum age to rent the cabins and campsites is 18 years old. The person renting the cabin or campsite must also be staying in the cabin or on the campsite rented.
- Smoking is forbidden in all cabins and other buildings.
- Dogs must be on a leash. Always use a poop bag and try to walk the dog on the outer edges of the campground.
- Lost keys will be charged with a fee of SEK 600/key.
- If you check-out of your cabin without cleaning it, we charge a fee of SEK 1000 or more depending on the condition of the cabin.
- We take no responsibility for your valuables or personal items.
- Caravans must be parked with the towing hook facing the road.
- Fire extinguishers are located throughout the area. See the map provided in all buildings and provided to you at check-in. In each cabin there are instructions in case of fire and/or accident.
- Elevated fluoride levels in drinking water can lead to stomach pain for young children. We offer fresh bottled water at no charge for children under 1.5 years.

On the day of arrival, you have access to the cabin/campsite from 3 p.m. unless otherwise agreed. On the day of departure, you return the key by 11 a.m. at the latest.
Dogs are welcome to Klarälvens Camping. The dog must be leashed in the area and consideration must be shown for other guests and staff at Klarälvens Camping.
Unfortunately, we do not have a restaurant or café at Klarälvens Camping. About 300 m from the campsite you will find Mac45, a gas station with fast food and lunch specials. Feel free to ask us at the reception for additional suggestions for restaurants and cafés a little further away.
You bring your own sheets or rent them from us. In “Ekonomi”- and “Standard” cabins, sleeping bags are not permitted.
If you do not add final cleaning to your booking, you clean yourself before departure. In the cabin there are instructions on what we expect from a cleaning. You will find cleaning equipment in the cabin.
Unfortunately, we do not have a charging station at Klarälvens Camping. You can charge the car approx. 300 m from the campsite at the road E45/62 junction.
Klarälvens Camping is located next to the river Klarälven, where you can go for a swim. In the area we have a wood-heated sauna that you can rent, as well as a playground and plenty of space for play and games. When the reception is open, you also have access to the assembly room where there is a TV. There are several fireplaces in the area, feel free to ask us for a grill to borrow. You can fish in the river Klarälven or in the lake right next to the campsite (Put and take). Note! Fishing license required. Of course, you can also book one of our activities subject to availability. Ask at reception for timber raft trips, canoe trips or beaver safari.
