Description of the package canoe tour Klarälven 3 days/2 nights
Day 1: Arrival
We will meet in Gunnerud between 10.30 and 11.00 on the designated start day indicated on your confirmation. Please check in at our wilderness reception. You will receive the equipment you rented during the check-in process. You can purchase a fishing license if you wish to fish during your trip. You can also take the opportunity to buy a t-shirt, cup, lantern, or other items from our small shop.
Please remember that you can repack your some of your luggage in the waterproof barrel included in the basic equipment. Therefore, it’s a good idea not to arrive last minute!
Day 1: Information
Once you have received your equipment and gone through the briefing on paddling techniques and safety, we will transport you to the starting point in Björkebo. The journey takes about half an hour. We will help unload your equipment, and you will receive your canoe(s). You’ll have time to paddle a short distance and find a spot for the night. Remember to see, but not be seen; listen, but not be heard—nature is for everyone!
Day 1-3: On the river
You will plan your daily stages while out on Klarälven. You will receive a detailed travel description to read through to see if there’s anything to explore along the stretch you’re paddling. Take the opportunity to enjoy the simple life! Go ashore and take breaks, and stretch your legs regularly.
P.S. If you prefer to stay in a cabin instead of a tent, you can spend the first night at Alevi Camping and the second night at Byns Camping in Ekshärad. You will need to contact the campsites directly to book your accommodation and pay them directly.
Day 3: Finish
When you return to Gunnerud, please return the rented equipment to the designated area. The equipment should be intact and clean upon return. We’d love to hear that you’re back and to know what you thought of the trip!
