Faq
Are the trails demanding?

The various hiking trails differ somewhat. Several of them are classified as demanding, but with normal fitness and mobility there are no problems to hike the trails. The trails are mostly on paths where there are stones and roots in some parts. Most trails also involve some height differences. The easiest is the trail in “Fänstjärnsskogen” and the hiking loop in “Brattfallet”.

Are there shelters and rest areas along the trails?

It varies. In “Fänstjärnsskogen” there is a hut that is open to everyone. At “Brattfallet” there is a rest area with several tables, and along the trail “Halgåleden” there is a wind shelter. Along the trails on “Hovfjället”, there are rest areas with tables and on the trail “Torprundan” you will pass a croft where you also will find an outhouse. At “Fämtån” there are tables and a wind shelter below the waterfall at the beginning of the trail, but not along the trail itself.

Can you bring a dog on the hike?

You know your dog best and know if he/she likes, and are fit enough for a day of hiking. However, the dog must be on a leash during the entire hike. There may be certain restrictions regarding accommodation in cabins at Klarälvens Camping. Check when booking if there is a cabin available where dogs are allowed in the cabin.

Is it suitable to bring children on the hike?

Some of the trails are demanding and can be tiring, at least for smaller children. But there are several alternatives that are less demanding where even the younger ones can keep up and have an exciting experience in nature.
